Travelogue
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is a narrative about a motorcycle trip that its author, Robert Pirsig, took in the summer of 1968, accompanied by his son, Chris, and his neighbors, John and Sylvia Sutherland. Pirsig's journey begins in St. Paul, Minnesota on Monday, July 8 of 1968 and ends in San Francisco on Wednesday, July 24.Ten years later, in the summer of 1978, four years after the publication of Pirsig's novel, my wife and I retraced part of his journey.
